Did you know that I got booked for a beauty campaign with a protective hairstyle? If yes, you are fantastic, thank you for following my journey. If you didn’t: Well, In 11 years of modeling, this is my first booking with faux locs. And for me as a person of color a milestone to celebrate. It might be a tiny step looking at the bigger picture, but the beauty and modeling industry is changing slowly but surely. It reminded me that I often overestimate what can happen in one year, but looking at over a decade now I see change.
